Easy Build Structures is proud to announce that again we were chosen by the Vancouver Airport Authority to provide one of our structures. This year YVR will do a major improvement and expansion, and for the third time they have chosen Easy Build to provide them with a passenger walkway. This walkway is elevated and is approximately 430 feet long, 20 feet wide, fully climate controlled, windows, emergency exits a swell as a fire suppression system. Passengers will be routed through this walkway around the construction site to their gate without any interference from the construction taking place outside the building. This structure will be in place approximately 20 months. Once construction is complete, the building will be disassembled, packaged and put into storage ready for the next project.

If you are doing your research on steel buildings be thorough and be sure you know who you are talking to. Some questions to ask, does this person work directly out of the manufacturing facility, distribution center or are they just an agent for a large firm selling from there home. Do they understand the BC Building Code as well as the Canadian Building Code. Many resellers will offer you an unbelievable deal and will include an engineered drawing with your building purchase. “STOP” there is a lot more to the building permit process than just presenting an engineered drawing to the building department. The unbelievably low prices offered is very tempting, don’t rush any deal that seams to good to be true usually is . Do not be pressured into purchasing a “CANCELED” building as they have one that is your size or near your size in stock.

What you should purchase to ensure that the building will be approved on your property with the authorities is the engineered drawing and Schedule B. If your salesperson won’t do this then you should be cautious as the immediate sale is the desire and not customer satisfaction. The BC and Canadian building code now require that all buildings be CSA and A660 certified.as well they require not only an engineered drawing but documents that are referred to as Schedules B & C. Without these documents you most likely will be required to hire a local engineer to help you with your build. There are many times when a local engineer will not sign off on the building you purchased and you may be stuck with a pile of steel that you cannot erect.

MTU Aerospace needed more Steel Buildings

When MTU Aerospace needed to expand at the Vancouver International Airport, Easy Build Structures of Surrey, BC provided them with the steel building they required. During the construction phase it was determined that a second building would be required and Easy Build was able to deliver the second building to site within one week. This was the third time MTU Aerospace has chosen Easy Build Structures to supply and install a commercial steel building for them.

At Easy Build, as much as we want to supply you with a steel building, we want to supply you with your second or third building. Steel Buildings Warranty Information

Warranty for Easy Build Structures Building System Products:

For warranty to be valid the building must be erected within 60 days of delivery. Shortages and damage must be reported within 30 days of delivery of the components.
If any frame component part does not meet quality expectations, Easy Build Building Systems will replace that part at no cost.
This benefit will be in effect for twenty (20) years from the date of delivery and applies to materials only. It does not cover damages to the frame from mishandling or improper installation after the customer has taken possession of the product. Easy Build Structures reserves the right to repair or replace any part that does not perform to expectations.
This twenty-year frame pledge does not apply to any unexpected or unanticipated acts of God, nature, customer negligence, accident or any damage due to abuse resulting from external or internal impact. Standard structural inspection and maintenance must be performed by the customer on a regular basis.
To initiate a claim against this pledge, the original purchase receipt, purchase location, customer information and other relevant documentation must be submitted to Easy Build Structures for consideration and action.
Easy Build partners with national sheet metal suppliers to provide painted steel roofing, siding and trim as part of a complete garage, building, carport or loafing shed package. Our sheet metal suppliers provide a 40-year limited warranty on their painted steel product.
Garage doors are warranted for 1 year from the date of installation.
